Ashley Fox
Department Chair, IB History, and Government
I’m a graduate of Huntington University with a B.S. in Social Studies Secondary Education and minors in teaching theater, radio, television, and speech. In 2010, I received my M.Ed. from Indiana Wesleyan University. I started teaching high school in Chicago, and since then, I have taught grades 5-12 on three different continents. My wife and I started overseas teaching at Khartoum American School in Sudan, and we later moved to Russia where we taught at the Anglo American School of Moscow. In that time we’ve had the amazing opportunity to visit over 30 countries, and these experiences changed our outlook on the world. The mission of WIHI to approach learning from a truly international perspective inspires me, and I am so glad to be working at this school.
My wonderful wife and I were blessed with a beautiful son, born in the fall of 2012. I enjoy the outdoors and have recently started participating in activities with a “–thon” at the end, including a marathon and several triathlons. |
Alex Greschuk
Economics and American Studies Teacher
I am a life-long Michigander, growing up in the Metro-Detroit area. I have lived all over the state, earning degrees from Oakland University, Michigan State University, and the University of Michigan. I currently teach DP Economics, 10th Grade Economics, and 9th Grade World Studies. Along with Mr. Basler, I serve as faculty sponsor for the Yearbook Club, and I also sponsor the WIHI Business Club. I live in Canton with my girlfriend, Sara, our dog Phoebe, and our cat Bubastis. In my spare time I love sports, board games, video games, and reading. I am overjoyed to be working at WIHI with all the wonderful students here and I look forward to the years to come!

Damion BrooksWorld Studies and MYP Design Tech 6I received my Bachelor's Degree in Law and Government from Eastern Michigan. I received my teacher secondary teacher certification in Secondary English and Social Studies Education from Wayne State University. Before joining the staff at WIHA/WIMA I taught Social Studies at the Michigan Islamic Institute for two years. After that I was a Reading Interventionist for New Paradigm for Education. I believe that education can open up opportunities to students. My philosophy on education is that it needs to challenge students to think, solve problems, and prepare students for their journey after school. I spend my time with my wife and young son as well as reading, watching movies, playing video games, and running.
