Meet our Design and Technology Team!
Scout BostleyDesign Tech 6I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Eastern Michigan University. My B.S. focused on English, Communication, and Theatre Arts education while my M.A. focused primarily on English Education, Equity centered approaches to teaching, and anti-racist assessment/grading. Before teaching at WIMAHI, I taught First-Year Writing at EMU, and English Language Arts grades 9-11 at Taylor High School. Although I am new to WIMAHI as a fulltime teacher, I am not entirely new to the school and community. I student taught at WIHI in 2019 in the Literature Department teaching 9th and 10th grade MYP Literature and 10th grade Communications. I believe education should be a collaborative experience not just among students but between teachers and students. I am passionate about inquiry-based, student centered approaches to learning. I am the oldest of 3 sisters. Both of my younger sisters live in Ypsilanti and attend EMU. My partner and I have a dog (Teddy) and Cat (Steven). I love running into students and families when I am walking our dog around town or attending events in the Ypsilanti area. When I am not teaching I am baking, spending time with family, or playing Stardew Valley.

Donacol ClemonsMYP DEI Design Tech 8I received my bachelors degree in Secondary Education Social Studies from Eastern Michigan University in 2021. My past teaching experiences have been at Ypsilanti High School and at WAVE. I also spent a nice amount of my time at Eastern Michigan working with the EMU Bright Futures Program at Estabrook Elementary mentoring children in the Ypsilanti Community. I believe that education is a right! It is the avenue by which we gain the knowledge necessary to become agents of change in our communities. My educational philosophy is that ALL students are capable of learning. They all do not learn at the same rate, but by assessing students individual needs and centering their voices, it is possible to provide them with a meaningful learning experience. I enjoy working at WIMA/WIHI because of the loving, inclusive and diverse community. I believe within this school community students are given the support needed to become productive learners. My family is my main support system and I come from a huge family!! I have 9 siblings and 13 nieces and nephews. I'm also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. I am a vegan that loves to cook and garden.
