Love animals? Registration for the Huron Valley Humane Society JV program training is currently unavailable for September/October, new dates will be announced near the end of September. Slots fill up super fast! Typically volunteers under 18 do not get to handle animals, but if you graduate from the HVHS JV program, you will be able to walk, play, and volunteer with all kinds of furry friends! One-time or ongoing volunteer opps for individuals or groups, mostly in Ypsilanti. Work in youth, school, community gardens & greenhouses; educational programming for youth and adults. Assistance needed with Downtown Ypsilanti Farmers' Market (Tuesdays in May-Oct) and Winter Farmers' Market (Tuesdays Nov/Dec). Unpaid internships also available for high school or college students.

The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum is a wonderful place to volunteer for any students interested in working with children. Monthly, the museum holds a volunteer orientation required for all new volunteers. First, visit the museums volunteer website and fill out the volunteer application! There are (almost) daily opportunities for students to volunteer.
