Anime and Manga Club - Sponsored by Ms. Horsch
The anime and manga club is a relaxed environment where WIHI students can share their passion for their favorite T.V. series without feeling judged. A safe environment where personal club related production is encouraged and all WIHI grade levels are integrated by a common theme, anime and manga!
Gay - Straight Alliance - Sponsored by Mr. Garcia
A Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) is a student-run club in a high school or middle school that brings together LGBTQ and straight students to support each other, provide a safe place to socialize, and create a platform for activism to fight homophobia and transphobia. Our main focus is anti-bullying and harassment rules, to ensure students of any orientation or belief can feel safe and comfortable within school walls.
Muslim Student Association - Sponsored by Ms. Thompson
MSA promotes the acceptance of all faiths and ethnicities in the high school community and beyond, and brings those faiths closer to each other. MSA helps students to adjust to the atmosphere of WIHI by connecting them with students of a similar ethnic and/or religious background. MSA arranges several annual activities and events for the enjoyment of WIHI students, such as the annual International Dinner (in partnership with Student Council), and well as bonding events for MSA students to connect with their peers.
Jazz band - sponsored by Mr. Pierson
Drama Club - Sponsored by Mr. Garcia
The Drama Club is for experienced and aspiring thespians alike. We aim to put on two productions a year, a Senior-directed group of One Acts in the first semester and a full production in the Spring. In addition, the group meets to discuss plays, acting and to share our love of the stage.

Students compete in events ranging from impromptu speaking, to persuasive speaking, to dramatic interpretation. The WiHi Forensics team has ranked top 5 in the State since they originated in 2012. Last year the team ranked 2nd and returned home with a State Champion, and fourteen state semi-finalists and finalists.

We will be working with students in the area struggling with reading and writing as well as raising money throughout the whole year to help build a school in Nicaragua to provide education to those who currently have no access to it. We will then send a group of students in the summer to go help build a school in a rural community in Nicaragua. Let's buildOn!

Interact - Sponsored by Mr. Ezekiel
Interact Club is a high school club sponsored by the Ypsilanti Rotary Club. Our mission statement is to be "a service organization for high school students that strive to better the lives of others in our community, country and world."
Model United Nations allows students to act as if they were real UN delegates for 3-4 days during a tournament. The club visits approximately 4 tournaments per school year, and spends time in club meetings preparing documents and strategies for those tournaments. There is also time devoted to learning the proper speaking and diplomatic procedures for the United Nations.

Open only to Juniors and Seniors who have met all requirements and have been initiated into the society. Students participate in individual volunteer service projects and chapter service projects throughout the school year while being leaders in the school and local community.
Student Government - Stugo - sponsored by mr. giddings
Student Government (StuGo) is an organization that meets on a weekly basis to become the voice of the student body. Our aim is to make WIHI the best environment possible for the students. We accomplish this through a variety of school improvements, events, fundraisers, and grade-level specific action plans. You must run for a position (class representative, president, vice president) and complete an enrollment process that includes an essay, interview, recommendation, speech, and student vote. Elections will be held for the 2014-2015 school year on Friday, September 26th.
